Dr. Bronagh McCann

Dr. Bronagh McCann was born in County Armagh. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1998. 

Initially Bronagh began a career in anaesthesia before making the change to General Practice. She has brought her experience in Anaesthesia and Intensive care into General Practice, having a special interest in particular Emergency medicine, Women’s health, Antenatal care, Musculo- skeletal medicine and Teen health. Bronagh is also a tutor in Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive Medicine.

Bronagh loves being part of the team at Áth Trasna. Looking after patients in the Duhallow area has brought her huge job satisfaction. 

Bronagh runs the Duhallow Academy, along with Dr Zelie, which organises the GP placement for Final Year Medical students from UCC, providing learning support to the students through mentoring and tutoring.

Bronagh lives in the North Cork area with her family. Outside her work she enjoys running and art.
